ASLM2023 Registration and Abstract Submissions are Open!

ASLM's 6th biennial conference will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from 12th -15th December 2023 with the theme of ‘Shaping laboratory systems and diagnostic services for the 21st century: embracing the change’. Abstract submissions for the ASLM2023 conference are now open! The conference, which will be held from 12-15 December 2021, in Cape Town South Africa, is the perfect opportunity to showcase your hard work and research to an influential audience of medical laboratory experts and public health leaders from Africa and around the world.

Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 July 2023

Abstracts should be focused on one of the ASLM2023 scientific tracks and categories and follow the formatting instructions below. Authors may submit more than one abstract, and each of them will be considered independently.

All abstract submissions will be peer-reviewed for scientific content and current relevance to the clinical, public health, scientific, and laboratory medicine community by the ASLM2023 Scientific Programme Committee and a panel of reviewers. Acceptance will be based upon the quality of the abstract and significance of the findings. Decisions on submitted abstracts are expected by 20 August 2023.

Tracks and Categories

Authors must select one of the “Scientific Tracks” and “Categories” during the submission process. The Track Category is the general heading under which the abstract will be reviewed and later published. The Track Category which best describes the subject of the abstract should be selected. The meeting organisers reserve the right to determine the final Track Category that best suits the abstract content. Abstracts that do not fall within any of the tracks related to the conference will be rejected.
